Crazy algae on the C&O canal in Dickerson MD. 

My boy and I did at 17.2 mile bike ride along the C&O canal today. He is just about to turn 7 years old. He toughed it out the whole way on a single speed. I’m so proud of him. 

There are many snakes on that path. We were talking about the chances of running over a snake, and I had at first discounted the chances until he ran over a 2-3 foot long black snake while I was talking. He saw a copper head along the trail later that day and another black snake. so crazy!

Doesn’t this just scream “Fall”? 

Took the kiddos down into Virginia for a balloon festival that turned out to not have any balloons. We made the best of it.
