My Catherine

It’s a rainy, crappy day all around. I’m not feeling terribly well. And my kids are cooped up in the house. 

All I can think about is my wife Catherine. 

She’s having a tough day, and I figure, I would out her for the most excellent person she is and how much she means to me. 

This is a lady who came into my life when I needed her to and has done nothing but improve it since she arrived. 

She married me almost 7 years ago. She’s bore me three exceptional and healthy children (thank the Lord). 

She’s a stay-at-home wife. She raises my kids in a manner that we agreed to when we first go together. I’m incredibly grateful that she’s worked so hard to do this for us and for them. 

As a homemaker, she has few peers. My home is well kept, the laundry is constantly attended to, and the food is amazing. 

All the while she’s been doing this job, and indeed this is a real job, she’s been going back to school to finish her college degree in accounting. She maintains an A average. And she puts up with me. 

Today, she’s at home with the kids cooped up inside from the rain. She can’t find her car keys. This is a crappy thing because my kids are a handful when they are bored, as I am sure most kids are. 

She is an incredible woman, and I’m so very glad that she chose to be with me. 

She also has a fantastic blog, that is pretty early, but I’m sure will be as inspiring as she is.
